Class Actions - National Health Card
CLASS ACTIONS - NATIONAL HEALTH CARD
LAST UPDATE: The Milan Court announced that the hearings have been scheduled for end of January 2025
Following numerous initiatives already undertaken regarding the right of access to the Italian National Health Service, R&D has deemed it appropriate to initiate a legal action to obtain a definitive clarification of the juridical framework.
The Trade Unions R&D Ispra, G2004 Ispra, Save Europe Ispra, together with SEPS Italia (Association of Pensioners) promoted in February 2023 class actions, for defined categories, to ascertain the right to the national health card and more broadly to non-discriminatory access to all services of the Italian NHS for all JSIS affiliates.
It is emphasized once again, that joining the class actions is an individual decision to ascertain the right to a free Italian health card for access to all services of the national health system.
Here
you will find the fact sheet with the details of the class actions: EN.
The management of the class actions is fully taken over by the Rome based Law firm, Antonio De Angelis.
As a result, three different class actions have been introduced, for defined categories:
- Employees of the European Commission, JSIS affiliates of Italian nationality
- Employees of the European Commission, JSIS affiliates of non-Italian nationality
- Pensioners of the European Commission, JSIS affiliates of non-Italian nationality
We will keep you inform of the outcome.
